So, NaNoWriMo starts shortly. Hopefully, I should be able to take part.
Currently watching Enterprise with genedefect. It's not bad, overall. Reminds me a lot of TNG. I was highly amused by the (fifth?) episode where the Chief Engineer, who is a male, becomes pregnant. Seriously disturbing.
I'm having a bit of trouble starting up Attacking Angel. It looks like some weird story involving westerns and angels. I could be wrong about that.
Oh, instead of reading, I've been playing Growlanser 3. They really took most of the things that seriously frustrated me about 2 and changed them back to the way they were in the original. Distributed exp on battle win, items, independent movement in towns. And they added in some interesting mechanics. During the character creation process, the decisions you make decide your character's personality. From that point on, any time you talk to someone, you're given a set of choices - some of which may be impossible to choose, based on your personality type. You can see them, but they're greyed out.
Seems like the max party size is going to be smaller; there's only room for six people in the save screen. Of course, this could be just a method of screwing with your mind. Many games do, these days.
I'm having fun, though. Let's see. The date for Growlanser Generations is rather confused at this point. Some sites say 11/9, 11/16, 11/19... but as far as I know, it hasn't gone gold yet. I WANT to see that game come out, badly. Unfortunately, I'm worried that people who try Growlanser 2 may give up before trying 3. I didn't feel it was a very strong game. BUT, I also had played through the original first, and my expectations could have been inflated due to that. People who haven't may enjoy 2 more.
On the homebody side, went out to get real food today. Had mustard pork chops for lunch, and Dijon Chicken for dinner. Tomorrow I'm planning something with salmon. I'm regretting that I didn't pick up a Japanese cookbook while I was in Kinokuniya. I'd like to try my hand at making bento lunch food. Er, aside from that, feeling a craving for real Chinese food.
Ah well. I'm probably heading to bed now.
