Needs massive editing job. There are several distinct disconnects in the story that need to be fixed.
In the end game of the story. It will need editing, but there aren't any severe disconnects I know of.
A Gift from God
Most of the first 50,000 words are just flat out depressing, and probably don't forward the story enough. Probably need to cut them down to at least half of that, either in revision or before continuing it.
I feel like this is the best shape anything I've written is in, but the story's rather strange and it only gets harder from here.
Need to plan out the plot better, but I've been moving on it. I don't think the writing's too bad, though I could work on a bit more description.
Hikisakareta Kokoro (The Heart Torn Apart)
Probably in decent condition for what it is, but it needs more planning. I'm betting revision's going to be hell, because I'll need to vet it through at least one Japanese native before I could even consider publishing it.
...planning. More planning.
...and also more planning.
I've technically finished writing it. I can't even imagine what it would be like editing it.
So, just on my novels (or attempts thereof), I've written 274,236 words, or two novels and most of a third. I'm probably going to continue on Forest. (Let's see how long my new-found determination lasts!)
I got a very positive response when I read Hikisakareta Kokoro at the convention, so perhaps that ought to be #2? ...one first.
