So, I picked up a couple of CDs from cdjapan the other day; random idols. I'm trying to expand my horizons in Jpop beyond Hamasaki Ayumi, Utada Hikaru, and angela. The discs should arrive in about a week.

Unfortunately, many of the artists whose music I have an interest in, like Cocco, or TWO-MIX, or smile.dk... the CDs I'm looking for aren't available on any of the stores I visit. I also wanted to pick up a copy of the Witches "There She Is", but it looks like the album's out of print. Bah, humbug. (It doesn't help that Witches is a Korean band, and I can count the Korean words I know on one hand.)

I also just ordered a CD from E Nomine (the/a CD that includes Mitternacht, the song to that awesome Vampire Hunter D/Blood/Hellsing AMV), and Juli. Unfortunately, while the Zune Marketplace has Juli's second CD, but her second CD doesn't have Perfekte Welle on it. The first CD does, and that one ISN'T on the Marketplace. I got introduced to Perfekte Welle through Rock Band.

Songs that I blame on Rock Band?
Saints of Los Angeles, Motley Crue
I'm So Sick, Flyleaf
Limelight, Rush
Tom Sawyer, Rush
Sprode, Freezepop
Ballroom Blitz, Sweet
Enter Sandman, Metallica
The Hand that Feeds, Nine Inch Nails
Welcome Home, Coheed and Cambria
Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial), Coheed and Cambria
Perfekte Welle, Juli

Oh, finally, as a suggestion for a metal band that came through a chain of friends: Symphony X. Is very cool.

Indeed, and judging by your tastes, if you aren't already listening to Dream Theater, you should be. Images and Words was my gateway album, and still remains one of my favorites by them.
