Well, one realization that I'd bought too many of one set of buttons and too few of the other, along with the fact that they were the wrong size, sent me back out today. I also picked up a seam ripper, machine oil, and bobbins. I then returned and spent the last four hours completely oblivious to the world, cutting, pinning, ironing, sewing, ripping, etc.

Right, "expected completion time two hours". I have to wonder what world these people are living in. Even without the ripping, it still would have taken me three and a half hours, and I'm not even done yet. I think most of the rest is hand-stitching, too...

The directions are confusing... I'm not entirely sure what they want me to do. This is probably a result of my inexperience. I've attached a picture of the directions - any ideas?

...gah... back... hurting...

Edit: Picture cut, I figured out what I needed to do. The wonders of the internet...

There's no way I could commission you for some sewing work, is there? :)

You suck less than me. And you'll laugh, but... I want a cosplay costume not griveously dissimilar to KH2 Leon, but have no skill or ability to attach giant fur ruffs to a jacket.... ^.^

Want the experience? I would reimburse you time/effort/materials/whatever and then some!

I'm sorry, but my sewing machine won't handle leather. If I get a new one at some point, I might be able to help you.

I hadn't necessarily considered leather for the jacket's material. That would probably be more expensive than I really want to make a costume with limited utility. And it would be hot, which I do not deal with terribly well. If you'd be willing to make the attempt with a different material, I would not weep. ^.^

It's no big deal, though, I can always make a non-ruffed version. Since it's Keyblademaster Leon I don't have to stick too close to canon, if I can get close.
