As the world says "yo, writing," by having fanficrants be broken. Alas. My next timesuck, torn cruelly from my grip.

Outlines? Are fine. It's just, I'm around 30 scenes in, and all I want to do is pitch the outline out the window and start writing. I know this is because I don't know what to do next, and I'm worried that the outline isn't good. In that case, of course what I should be doing is putting more energy into the outline, not less.

To self: have you really convinced yourself that it is going to hurt less when you get to this point in the plot and have to sweat blood to figure out what happens next given everything you've already written? Can't you understand that the outline is going to give you a chance to figure out these things before you get there, hopefully reducing the suffering to something more bearable, and less word-count killing? And have you considered that if you screw up in the outline, like you've already realized you've done once, you don't have to rewrite a few thousand words, but only a few hundred?

Goddamn it, self, suck it up.

...posting entries to one's journal as a timesuck, for the win.

Ganbare ganbare.

Completely offtopic but my is that layout on FFrants ugly. They must've gotten the same guy who did Growlanser's UI to do their color scheme.
