1075 words today.

So, I have something that needs to happen around a week later, but I need a week of time. Now, how to fill this time.

Oof. Writing characters that are burned out makes my head hurt. It makes me think like I'm burned out too.

Oh, and I'm officially past the 8,000 words I lost. They turned out differently this time around, but they're still good words (I think). I am at 38,459 words. I'm going to have to work my butt off to make 50,000 in a month for NaNo (on a different story, of course).

The School (slightly edited version - editing doesn't get past the first two or three scenes) maxed out at 37,324 words, so Familiar is officially the longest contiguous piece of writing I have ever done. I made that mark yesterday.

I need a shower.

It's Friday.

Enjoy the silence...

Crap, I'd better get writing. I'm supposed to be the one making a living off this someday, and my record's 39,665, for a really, really, really crappy fantasy novel I got about a quarter of the way through in 9th grade. I keep it for roughly the same reason that Caesar had that guy in his chariot: "Remember that thou art mortal..."

Holy crap, I just realized that was 10 years ago. I still haven't published a word. I suck.

Yes, but you've spent most of the last ten years developing other skills. I haven't spent them doing much of anything, really.
