I'm moving along through Persona 2: Innocent Sin. ^^ Just finished the bloody shelter in the basement of the school, which was a pain due to the walking around in circles trying to avoid the hp/sp drop traps. The story's interesting, though, so it's keeping me moving... aside from the hours of talking to demons trying to collect tarot to create new personas... which I have a glut of, now.

Been tired over the last few days, don't have the energy to write.

And so much for my 'pack one box a day' theory of moving. I haven't packed any yet. I should get started... just packing up the stuff I'm not going to use right now. And finding my bloody Utena artbooks, damn it. I'm planning to repack the boxes I took with me when I moved out of the last apartment and never unpacked, and sort through the papers so I can throw things out. I have very bad packrat tendencies.

As someone who's moved 15 times, 6 in the last five years, I can tell you a universal fact: 95% of all packing occurs within 24 hours of leaving. You might as well accept that, and not worry about it. You will not sleep the night before you move, and for the last two hours you're going to be just throwing everything into boxes at random. Don't be surprised to find a box with a half-eaten box of crackers, two unopened boxes of Kleenex, and your 2000 tax returns when you're unpacking, it happens.
And don't try to throw anything out now, you'll never finish packing if everything is an agonizing decision. Use the year rule: after you've been in the new place for a year, throw out all the boxes you haven't unpacked yet. Don't even look inside them, just chuck them out. No agony, and anything you didn't need in a year, you don't need, period.
So, your fanfic got me watching Utena again, and I can't find the last 9 episodes. Argh! I'm right in the middle of the Juri bits (generally the best part of any plotline) of the Car arc. *smash* Just so you know, I blame you. Sure, it could be because my CD and DVD collections are incredibly disorganized, I throw out all the cases, and I don't label anything, but blaming you is so very much easier.
(The joys of livejournal spellcheck, issue 3: CD is allowed, but not DVD.)

The trick is to do this in 1999; then it'll net save you time on your income taxes.

I sleep before I move, but I have a bad track record on this; I do most of my packing after I was supposed to be out. I figure that the first time I have professional movers hired, I'll have to break that habit.
